December was fun and busy for us. It came and went in a hurry. Here are a few things we did.
I wanted a Christmas picture of the kids for a few projects we made.
This is the picture I used.
But this one catches them in a moment of them being themselves.
This is one of the projects we used the pictures for.
Linkoln loves primary. One day he came home with a paper that had a few of the prophets on it. We noticed something about the eyes. We asked him about it and he told us, "Well, I crossed out the eyes on the guys that were dead and I checked the eyes of the guy that's still alive."
Joseph Smith, eyes crossed out.
Moses, eyes crossed out.
President Monson, eyes checked. Sometimes I wonder how this little guy's mind works.
I heard a whoosh. Then I saw a huge flock of birds on my lawn. I tried to get a picture, but as you can see they started flying away when I got close to the door. (And I totally had a Lego Movie quote in there. I guess you can tell what my kids like to watch.)
Clint and I were able to go to a Boise game. It worked out that Clint went to work and got there in time and so I drove and met him there. I stayed in the hotel with him and we made a night of it, and my awesome Mother in law watched the munchkins so we could go.
Marching band!
I also sewed some stockings. We let the kids draw on them with washable markers on Christmas Eve and then hang them for Santa.
I also finished crocheting this throw for my living room.
Corgin got crafty one day with Clint while we were making stuff and made his Grandpa Brent a clock, because he thought Grandpa might need one in his shop. He painted it and drew on the numbers and with some help from Clint he put on the hand. (It doesn't keep time, but it is sweet anyway.)
Another project. A lot like the other one, I know.
We went down one weekend to Ogden and went to a little light show. It was so nice that night that we were all warm in just our jackets. The kids had a lot of fun.
Here are Brielle, Addi, Link, and Corgin.
Looking in the window at a Christmas scene. Pierce, Eisley, Corgin, Addi, Brielle, and Link.
Turning around for me to get a picture, Pierce, Eisley, Corgin, Addi, Link, and Brielle.
The next day we crashed Grandpa and Grandma Hamblin's ward Christmas party. Santa was there so the kids got a chance to tell him what they wanted.
Corgin and Santa.
Eisley and Link with Santa. When Santa asked Eisley if she'd been a good girl she said, "uh, uh." So at least she's honest!
Corgin had a cute Christmas program. He's the one to the right of this lady's hand holding the pink camera.
Then, on the eighteenth, Eisley and the boys were playing in the boys room and I heard a loud thud, followed by Eisley crying. I waited for her to come running out for me to give her a hug like she usually does, but she didn't come. So I went into the boys room and found her crouched on the floor. Comes out that she was following her brother's example and jumped off the top bunk bed.
Here she is that night. She was very sad. She wouldn't walk on her left foot either. So like the great mother that I am, I waited until morning to see if she was still complaining about it or if she had forgot about it. She still wouldn't walk on it, so we took her into the doc. He sent us to get her foot x-rayed, and sure enough, that crazy little lady broke her foot. They told me to wrap it in an ace bandage and they made me an appointment to go get it casted for Tuesday (because my kids like to do things on the weekends).
So we enjoyed our Christmas tree.
And the boys made their gingerbread train.
And then Tuesday finally rolled around and she got her cast on. She did so good when they put it on her and she was excited to choose her color.
Then later that night we took kids around the town to look at all the Christmas lights. Corgin's only request was to see the peeing Santa. Yeah, Pocatello keeps it classy.
Here is a picture of the kids decorating their stockings on Christmas eve.
And this is a paper that Corgin brought home from school. If you can't read it, it says "I saw one of Santa's reindeer. First, I found a reindeer. His name was Blisin (Blitzen). Then, I killed him. I put him in the fire pit. Last, my mom growned (grounded) me." From the mouth of babes.
And here is their stockings after they were done drawing on them. Corgin's, Linkoln's and Eisley's.
And the backs of them.
Time for their Christmas Eve presents.
What could they be?
They were jammies, and Link wore them on his head!
At Aunt Becky's Chirstmas Eve party, the kids played pin the nose on Olaf. Eisley thought she needed to pin the nose on her.
Then came Christmas Morning!
And of course, Santa found our house.
Eisley, Corgin, and Link.
Link, Corg, and Eis.
Linkoln and Corgin.
Corgin and Eisley.
Link, Corgin, and Eisley.
Linkoln.
Eisley.
Corgin.
Eisley, Link, and Corgin.
Eisley and all her stuff.
And we even got a white Christmas. When we went to bed the ground was bare, but when we left our house Christmas morning it was white and still snowing.
I didn't get any pictures, but we had a fun Christmas day at my parents house.
Then we spent the following Sunday having Christmas with Clint's family and I again didn't get any pictures, but it was fun too.
This is Eisley playing with some of her Christmas toys. She loved them all.
And that was our December. Next up is Corgin's birthday and January. Let's hope it is as fun and filled with family as December was for us!
