June Bugs, June Grass, June, June, June!!!

We started our June by taking a trip to Utah and taking the boys to the children's museum at Gateway Mall. They loved it! Link spent a lot of time in the child size grocery store.

 

 They both really liked the construction zone. They'd load and unload the blocks as a cute little team.

 

 

Link liked the magnet gears.

 

Corgin liked building magnet towers

 

And waffle block (not sure what they're called, but I've always thought that they looked like waffles) towers.

 

And more magnet buildings.

 

Link had fun with the magnets too.

 

The giant tinker toys were a hit.

 

The helicopter too.

 

Then back to building. They liked this one because they got to build and then turn on an earthquake and destroy!

 And let us not forget the cars, filling them with free gas and racing them all around.

I think we'll be making a return trip.

We finally got a warm day, so the boys were able to play in the sprinkler.

 

 

The boys finished their chore charts and earned themselves.....

...a trampoline!

 

 

Father's Day came around and Corgin's Primary teachers helped him do this for his dad. His answers were so cute that this still adorns our fridge.

 

The boys had fun playing with a big box. I think I should've kept it since it entertained them longer than most of their toys do.

 

Eisley climbed into the laundry basket all by herself.

 

Cousins came from Texas and Washington so the kids got to play, and play, and play! Here are some of them playing in our pool.

Family pizza and a movie night! These are some of my favorite family times.

 

I always have to throw in at least one shot of Eisley girl in one of her cute church dresses, so here it is.

 

I also had to include this video. Corgin taught himself, and just a few days after we set up the tramp. He's gonna give me an early death if he keeps being this daring.

 

 

We played a lot in June, and we're still playin'!!!

MAY i have your attention please?

May started out slow for us....
But we managed to have a little bit of fun anyway.

It didn't warm up outside, so we had fun inside. Here are the boys in their fort. Corgin had three rules: one, grown-ups are allowed; two, no climbing on top; and three, you have to be quiet. Too bad those rules didn't last long.

 

We took a trip up to see Trisha and Danny, and Jake and Janelle in northern Idaho. Jake graduated from University of Idaho (go Jake!) so we went to his graduation. Then we stayed for almost a week and played. Corgin and Link played with Grant, and Eisley got doted on by Ali and everyone else. One day we went to a gym and let the kids exert their energy on something other than driving us crazy. They loved it!

Then there's the rare Idaho spring evening that it's nice enough to roast some hotdogs and marshmallows by the fire. I tried to get a picture of Link's adorable messy marshmallow face and ended up with my favorite photo bomb ever!

5 things about my eisley

I have a few minutes before bed, so I thought I should add a post. I did this for both my boys and wanted to make sure I got a post done for Eisley too. So here it goes...

1. Eisley is a Mama's girl. All the way. And not just in the fact that she checks for me when she's playing or how her eyes never leave me when someone else is holding her, but in the fact that she shows excitement the same way I used to as a kid. I used to tense up all my muscles and ball my hands up into fists and shake with excitement. Eisley does this too, except her hands aren't in fists, they are usually with spread fingers and flexed wrists. I find it absolutely adorable!

2. My little Eisley is the happiest and sweetest baby. She always has a smile for me and has a great temperament. She is such an easy baby and hardly cries. She started sleeping through the night around 2 months old too. Just a good baby!

3. Eisley is a busy body! She loves to go and go and go. Once she learned to crawl she hasn't stopped and she likes to take the hard way. She always likes to crawl over, through, or around anything in her path. Clint and I decided we could keep her busy for hours if we created a little baby obstacle course for her.

4. My baby girl loves to smack her lips when she eats. I love it! I feed her a bite and she smacks her lips, sometimes so much that I have to distract her to even get another bite in before she starts smacking again.

5. Eisley gives the best baby hugs ever. She grabs my shoulders or neck and squeezes so tight. I think she's already figured out how to get whatever she wants from any of us in this little family.

Link's Birthday!

We've spent a little time canning lately. We canned some tomatoes, stewed and juice.

 Then we canned some apples, some for baking and some applesauce. We used Fuji apples and they turned out really good. My boys beg to eat them all the time now.

  And, for the title of this post, we celebrated Linkoln's 3rd birthday! He wanted to eat at Texas Roadhouse, so we met some of his grandparents there and enjoyed the meal. Since it was his special day, they brought out the saddle and sang to him. He didn't want to get off. He thought it was great.

 He waved his hand and said yee-haw!

 Then we came back to our house for cake and presents. He got to blow out the candles.

 Then open some presents.

 Then he gave hugs and kisses for all the gifts.

 Next up was cake. I told him to smile and this is what I got.

 Anyway, he was spoiled, but loved to have a day just for him.

 For some reason, kids always have a fascination with our fire place, Eisley is no exception.

 Sunday the boys came up from playing and told us they were ready for church. Clint had them show us their superhero muscles and took a picture. They think they're pretty funny. We do too, but we don't like them to know it since it goes to their heads.
