Happy Birthday Corgin!

So, Corgin celebrated his birthday on the first. I can't believe he is already 2! Anyway, we had a little birthday lunch at Sizzler with some family. We had a lot of fun and decided that Corgin is a very spoiled boy! Here are some pics of his big day.

We had tons of fun and Corgin liked getting to open presents again so close to Christmas. And he's already becoming more independant by the minute since he turned two. It's going to be a great year.

It's about time!

I'm finally posting a new blog! So to begin with, I have some pictures from before Christmas.

Corgin still loves his nakey time. He also likes to put on his daddy's socks.

Here's the result of that.

Corgin also still loves to eat snow. Here he is eating snow from a cup his Uncle Jake gave him. It makes him so happy.

Clint and his dad have been making concrete countertops. They made some for Clint's grandparents and we took them to Utah to install. This is what Corgin did for some of the ride. He liked the pictures of all the snow machines.

Once the countertops were installed, they had to be sealed and waxed. Corgin helped polish in the wax. He loved it!

Christmas Eve

We went bowling and spent some time with my family during the day. We also got to open one gift before we left. Corgin got a new blanket and pillow that my mom made him. He had to use both of them on the way home. He loves them.

At Clint's family, we also got to open some gifts amongst other festivities. Corgin loved his new jammies, he could hardly wait to put them on.

Christmas Day

We had lots of fun opening gifts. Corgin learned quickly that if a gift had some tape and was difficult to get into, just use a knife. So, he used this little plastic toy knife to open some of his gifts. He is such a goof.

Corgin got a tool set, costume included. He loves it and plays with his tools all the time.

This is Corgin's favorite gift. He got a tricycle from Santa. After he got this, he wouldn't get off it. He even tried opening the rest of his gifts while sitting on his bike.

Until he opened his tent. He thought his tent was pretty fun too.

So much fun, that he took all the new toys in it that he could. What a silly (and spoiled) boy.

Once some of the excitement was over, he then let me know that he needed his diaper changed. I think it's time to try out the potty training. Any tips?

And here's a little update of other things. Clint and I are renting out our house for six months with the renters having the option to buy. Until the lease is up or they decided to buy, we are staying with Clint's parents. Also, we found out that we are having another boy. We are excited and hope that he and Corgin are good buddies. That's about all.

Nitro Broken

Here's how it all went down.

I was on my way home from picking up Corgin from Grandma Kristi's. We were almost home and heading through a intersection that used to be a four way stop, but recently (like within 2 days) has had stoplights put up. I was heading straight through the intersection. As I got there I noticed a car on the intersecting road and was about to stop out of habit but then remembered the new stoplights. My light was green so I resumed through the intersection. Halfway through, I realized that the car didn't stop and I swerved to avoid being hit, but still was. The car hit the passenger side of my car and we spun around (almost a 360) and then tipped over onto the driver's side. That's right, our world was sideways. Corgin was asleep so the jolt and the noise woke him up. I told him everything would be okay. He probably wondered why he saw pavement out the window instead of the sky. I tried to get my seatbelt undone so that I could get back to him, but I couldn't get it. That was the worst feeling as he had his hands outstretched and was calling, "mommy, mommy" and I couldn't get to him to comfort him. There was a house on the corner and the people there heard the wreck and came out to help. The man climbed through the back of the Nitro, seen as how the other doors were out of commission, and got Corgin out. Then he asked if I was okay and I told him that I was, but that the seatbelt was tight and I was pregnant. He climbed back in and was able to get my seatbelt undone so I was able to get out. He and his teenage daughter brought us out some blankets and tried to get ahold of Clint. He was out on a run and the Federal Rail Administration prohibits cell phones while on duty for safety reasons, so I didn't get to talk to him until later when his train arrived in Green River (he still isn't home). The police and EMTs arrived and made sure everything was okay. My car was towed away. Corgin kept saying, "Nitro broken, Nitro bonk bonk." I think he may have had a little attachment to the car. Anyway, the ambulance brought us home and we are doing good. I'm a little sore, which is to be expected, but Corgin and the baby are doing well. It's just another stress, so prayers are always welcome.

Monkeyin' Around!

So, I know I said I'd have pictures from the Halloween party last weekend, but I don't. I remembered my camera, but I forgot my SD card. Sorry to those who were looking forward to them. Anyway, I did, however, get pictures of Corgin's first andventure Trick-or-treating.

This is before we left. He was so excited he couldn't hold still long enough for a picture. I tried to get a few, but gave up when these were the best I got.

Here we are at the first house. Corgin practiced saying "trick or treat", but once someone opened the door he was too shy to say it. Though he didn't say "trick or treat", he always said "thank you". I think he finally got brave enough to say "trick or treat" at the last two houses. He had lots of fun.

Corgin's loot. Yes, someone even gave him a dollar along with a full size candybar (We know where to go next year!). And for only going to 7 or 8 houses little boy made a haul.

This is our Jack-o-Lantern. We carved it at a party (I did forget the camera this time). Corgin was so funny. At first he didn't like to touch the inside to help clean it out, but then he got really into it. He even ended up eating it. I didn't get a picture, but the top of the pumpkin has little Corgin bites all over it. Silly Monkey!

Corgin likes to have his "nakey time" whenever possible. So, here he is. He runs around yelling, "nakey time! nakey time!" He loves it. This time he found his toy chain. He likes to wear it around his neck, so we call him Mr. T. He keeps us laughing.

Oh, Blah Dee, Oh, Blah Dah

Here's just a little bit of what we have been doing lately.

This is Corgin playing in one of the cabinets that we helped put in. He thought it was his own personal play house and moved in all his toys. He was cracking us up.

We also found a way to save in this economy. We traded in our 2007 Jeep Compass for this 2008 Dodge Nitro. The Nitro is bigger and we save almost $200 a month. It doesn't have all the features that the Compass did, but we are happy with our purchase and the money we are saving every month.

Well, we have a Halloween party this weekend so I'll be posting pics of that soon. Corgin is excited to be a monkey for Halloween and use his pumpkin flashlight that he got from Grandma Kristi.

What month is it again?

So, this is what we woke up to this morning. I've seen a few blogs of some of my friends that live a little further north have this a few days ago, but was still a little suprised to see it here.

Clint also shot his first antelope. He was excited about it and glad that it was bigger than the one my brother shot earlier this season.

Corgin likes to wear his sunglasses. Every time he wears them he says "cool dude!" Here he is showing the camera how he is a cool dude.

Corgin's cousin Addi came to visit all the way from Florida. He just loves Addi. They were so excited to see each other that they had to hold each others hands. It was so stinkin' cute!

Corgin's new favorite thing is to use all sorts of things as hats. We were eating dinner tonight and he started saying, "hat, hat." Clint and I looked over and sure enough he had found another thing to be his hat. Some of his other "hats" today included a bucket and a wagon. Silly kid!
