five things about corgin

Corgin was tagged!
1- Corgin is a morning person. When I go to get him out of his crib and tell him good morning,
he always gives me the biggest smiles - that's even when he is hungry.
I love it.
2- Like all babies, Corgin loves bathtime. He also loves to get all lotioned up for the day.
He is all smiles with this daily routine.
3- Corgin will more than likely turn out to be a thumbsucker.
He has succeeded in this a few times and I'm sure once he has more control, he will find that thumb more often.
4- My little Corginman is so tenderhearted. If Clint or I use a stern voice with him when he is starting to fuss, he will get the saddest little face and cry harder.
It's cute.
5- Corgin is one of the biggest wiggleworms. He just loves to lie on the floor and wiggle.
He's a lot harder to hold than his cousin Lily because he just wiggles so much.
It's okay for now, but I'm worried once he can crawl and walk because I'll probably be chasing him all over the place.
He just likes to go and go.
Now, we tag whoever hasn't been tagged to do this one for their kids.

Here he is after bathtime. So adorable!

He spit up on his shirt so I took it off and set him on the couch while I went to get another one. I had to take some pictures because it was pretty cute.

Here's Corgin in his born to rock shirt. (Clint's favorite) He was hugging his little horse friend, but by the time we got the camera he had moved.

Just being chill here.

He heard mommy's voice and looked away from the camera. I like this picture. He's just so attentive.

Attempting to get that thumb. If only he would unclench those little fists.

All snuggled in his swing, he's ready for a nap.

Cousins!

This is Corgin with his cousin, Lily. Lily is 6 days younger than Corgin. I just thought it was a cute picture.

I'VE BEEN TAGGED!!!

You've been TAGGED! Copy this and paste it into a post.

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago:
Well, I was a 14 year old girl who's happiness depended on how many boys liked me or thought I was cute. I was in eighth grade and it was my first year cheerleading. I experienced my first relationships (if you can call them that); I went out with Tate Secrist for a few days and dumped him so that I could go out with Chase Clark, who was the first and only boy to ever dump me. That "relationship" only lasted 4 days, so I wasn't really too heartbroken. I was pretty boy crazy though and I was trying to find friends that I really fit in with. All the typical teenage girl troubles. (Thanks Alanna for giving me the idea to look in my journal, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to remember it all - it sure made me laugh and hope that my kids never read that part of my journal)

On My To-Do List:
Call my insurance company about hospital bills, finish the laundry, go pick up my lesson book for Sunday, get bills in the mail, all sorts of other responsible grown-up stuff.

Before I die:
I would like to have a few more kids and I want to see them all grow up and get married and have their own kids. I'd also like to do some more traveling with Clint - maybe a Carribean cruise, or another Hawaiian cruise, or go to Chile (he served his mission there) or Egypt. I could go on, but I won't bore you any longer.

Places that I've lived:
Blackfoot, Idaho; Rexburg, Idaho; Pocatello, Idaho; Kaysville, Utah; Bountiful, Utah; Inkom, Idaho; and now Boise, Idaho

Jobs I have had:
Yard and Pet Caregiver, Pipe Mover, Rock Picker (potatoe harvest), Swather Operator, Beet Truck Driver, Rake Tractor Operator, -yes I grew up on a farm- , Sales Assosiate, Customer Service Coordinator, Massage Therapist, Chiropractic Assistant, and Mommy (current).

Dream job:
The one I am currently doing - I love it!

What I will do when I became a billionaire:
Travel and make sure that when I die my kids will get a nice inheritance.

Bad habits:
I leave the TV on even when I leave the room, I always spend way too much money at the grocery store, Clint says I make the soap soggy since I don't rinse it off when I am done in the shower, I could go on.

Things I enjoy:
Spending time with family and friends, reading, watching movies, playing games (wii games included), spending time on the internet, but mostly I enjoy being a mom to little Corginman!

Things people don't know about me:
I had never mowed a lawn until last summer and then when I finally gave in I was 23 years old and 5 months pregnant! Also, I don't think anyone knows the real color of my hair since I always have it dyed one color or another and have done this for the last 10 years or so.

Ok, so here is where I tag other people... I tag Trisha, Megan, JanDell, Dominoe, and Debra.

CoRGiNmAn

Up until the day he was born, we could not commit to a name. We had several ideas, but we just weren't sure who he was. One of the names was Corgin, obivously, amongst a few others. We came up with Corgin from the Smashing Pumpkins lead singer who's name is Billy Corgan. Ironically enough, the day that he was born, the song "Disarm" by the Smashing Pumpkins was playing on our alarm that woke us up. We laughed saying that he must be a Corgin. This is a little something Clint put together for little man with the song that helped us name him. Enjoy!

Shot Day!

Yesterday we took a trip to the doctor for Corgin's two month check-up and his shots. He is such a little runt! At 8 lbs 14 oz, he is in the 3rd percentile for weight and at 21 inches long, he is only in the 2nd percentile for height. He is definitely just a little guy. Anyway, he handled the shots pretty well. I was the one who was trying not to cry. After I picked him up and loved him he was much better. Here are a few pictures from shot day.
On our way to the doctor. He's not too extremely happy about it.

Oh, so sad. Those shots hurt!

All tuckered out.

Though running a low fever, he's still a lot happier today.

Also, he is starting to coo at Clint and I. We just love it! We will say "oooh" to him and he'll say "ooooh" right back. It is sooo cute! He's such a fun little guy.

Man Diapers

Corgin has officially moved up in the size of his diapers. I guess that is a good sign that he is growing. Here are a few pictures of him at bath time and in his cute "stud muffin" outfit.

A Litte More About Me and My Family

Here is Corgin and Clint. (See how much hair Corgin has)

This is our little family.

Corgin is just a few weeks old here.

This is how my little Corgin Man sleeps.

He is getting so strong. He can already hold up his head.

SMILES!

"What Mommy?"

I have been Married for about 3 1/2 years and loving it. We were just blessed with our first child on New Year's Day. I'm really lucky to have a great husband and a good baby. I'm just going to brag a little about how good my baby really is. He sleeps through the night, or if he does wake up it's only one time in the night. He is now eight weeks old and, oh, so cute! He has started to smile a lot and it makes it all so worth it. And, to brag about my husband, he helps out so much and will even change diapers. He treats me really well too. He gave Corgin his first haircut 3 days ago. He's brave. So, that is just a little about who I am and my awesome little family.

Blogging?

So, I've been told by a few people that I need to set up a blog, so here it is. I have finally given in and decided to try it. Here's my disclaimer, I probably won't be very good at keeping up on it just so you all know. =)

This is Corgin. Most of my posts will be about him.
